Kassa Osbourne Scholarship

Kassa Osbourne was born in Great Pond, Ocho Rios, St Ann, Jamaica. He was from a modest family with both parents working to ensure their children get a basic education. Kassa attended the Ocho Rios Primary School and subsequently, Ocho Rios High School and would have graduated in 1993. Although, Kassa did not excel in academia, he was very knowledgeable and adept at engineering and mechanical departments. In November 1993, Kassa Migrated to the United Stated of America, where he attended Braddock Senior High School and Robert Morgan Technical Institute, now Robert Morgan High School, where he excelled in the engineering and Mechanical Department. His prowess in this area, resulted in him being of and was offered a scholarship to further his studies. Unfortunately, this did not come to fruition, as in August 1994, Kassa lost his life in a motor vehicle accident.

With Ocho Rios High School being his foundation, it is only fitting that we continue Kassa's Legacy by encouraging students, who may not be great in the academic area but excel in the technical, engineering and mechanical areas, to continue their studies, or a business start-up, by assisting them so they can go on to be a responsible contributing citizen of their community.
